We welcome applications from experienced Year 6 teachers, as well as strong classroom practitioners looking to take the next step into leadership. Importantly, if you are newer to Year 6, you will be supported by a highly experienced and knowledgeable leadership team with extensive Year 6 expertise. We pride ourselves on being a collaborative and supportive school, committed to developing staff at every stage of their career.

  • Play a key role in preparing Year 6 pupils for successful transition to secondary school
  • Foster resilience, independence and a love of learning in pupils

  • Contribute to whole-school improvement and help shape the future direction of leadership within the school.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all pupils

  • Demonstrates strong leadership potential and the ability to inspire others
  • Values teamwork, collaboration and positive relationships
  • Is committed to inclusive practice and improving outcomes for all children
  • Has strong communication and organisational skills
  • Is reflective, ambitious and eager to continue developing professionally
  • Is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

What We Offer

  • A highly supportive and experienced leadership team
  • Strong mentoring and guidance, particularly for teachers newer to Year 6
  • A collaborative and welcoming staff team that shares best practice
  • The opportunity to shape a new phase leadership role within the school
  • A culture of research-informed practice and evidence-based teaching
  • High-quality CPD and leadership development opportunities
  • Well-behaved, respectful and motivated pupils
  • A welcoming, inclusive and community-focused school
  • A strong commitment to staff wellbeing.
