Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Required Autumn term – September 2026

Contract details: Grade 7 pa inclusive, permanent contact to work across the Primary school, 32.5 Hours Per Week (8.15 am – 3.45pm), Term time only (39 weeks)

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our skilful team in the Autumn term 2026.

We are looking for an individual who:
 

• Has experience of leading whole class teaching;
• Has experience of supporting young people;
• Is proactive, positive, calm and flexible;
• Has high expectations of yourself and the children you work with;
• Proven skills in behaviour management;
• Has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills;
• Is committed to working as part of a team;
• Is resilient;
• Shares our vision and aims for all of our pupils;
• Is dedicated and committed to the success of the school;
• Has Higher Level Teaching Assistant Status or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills or qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 2 in English and maths.
