Pastoral Lead

Contract details: Please note that this is a fixed term maternity cover post until 31st August 2027. Grade 7 pa inclusive. Term time only, Monday to Friday 8.30 to 16.30 with a one hour unpaid lunchbreak.

Start date: 1st September 2026.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Pastoral Lead to support the work of the year team. Dormers Wells High School is an 11-18 mixed, multi-cultural academy within the Dormers Wells Learning Trust. “There is a thriving sense of community at this school… Leaders place inclusion at the heart of their work. The successful candidate will:

• Be able to communicate effectively and accurately both orally and in writing to children, parents / carers and other external agencies
• Be welcoming and professional when managing the centre
• Be flexible and hardworking and able to work under pressure
• Be able to follow Trust procedures and use their own initiative as required and be a good team player
• Have good organisational and interpersonal skills and be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
